Back during the VGA's, a trailer was shown for Dauntless, a co-op game that allows people to join forces with their friends, pick a behemoth to slay, and then go on a hunt. Polygon got a chance to sit down and check out Dauntless for themselves, and that walked away "impressed and eager to see more."

You can view their full article here, but the gist of what they saw is quite something. The monsters in this game aren't exactly simple canon fodder as they will require you and several friends to traverse an expansive map to slay the beast. They even found out that simply trying to kill one beast can take 20 minutes.

Overall Dauntless seems to be an ambitious monster hunting game that will be free-to-play and let players work with their friends to be heroes of their very own monster hunting stories. Polygon even got to go on two separate hunts while they. You can check out one of the monster hunts below.
