Via Twitter,
the official account for Obsidian Entertainment has released the following images over the last few days. Did youinstantly figure out what they're teasing?
While many gamers were hoping that the teasers were for a new
Fallout game (Obsidian made 2010's
Fallout: New Vegas), gamer sleuths were quick to figure out that the images are actually revealing that a sequel to
Pillars of Eternity is in the works as the quotes and symbols are referencing key characters from the first game.
While there's still no official announcement, we'll be keeping a close eye for any confirmation on a sequel to the much beloved PC/Steam title. Released March 2015 following a 2012 Kickstarter campaign that raised $4 million USD, the game would prove to be one of the rare kickstarter projects that actually delivered all that it promised. It would go on to win numerous awards and accolades and garnered ratings of 9/10 from IGN, 92/100 for PC Gamer, 89/100 from Metacrtiic and 9.25/10 from Game Informer. Earlier in 2016, there was unofficial talk of a second kickstarter campaign to fund a sequel and it appears that it's preparing to get the ball the rolling. We'll update with more details as they're released, until then, stay tuned!
