Sony and developer Insomniac Games have confirmed the release windows of two upcoming, highly-anticipated PlayStation 4 titles:
Days Gone and
Marvel's Spider-Man.
In a "Year in Review" email sent out by Sony, the publisher includes a look at games to look forward to in 2018. One of the games slated for 2018 is
Days Gone, the upcoming action-adventure survival game set in a post-apocalyptic open world overrun by zombie-like creatures. We've seen
Days Gone shown off at multiple Sony press conferences, none of which mentioned a release window. Even the official PlayStation site has
listed the game as "TBC", so it's interesting Sony would include it on the list of 2018 games.
Meanwhile, a game not included on the list, but also eagerly-awaited is Insomniac Games upcoming title
Marvel's Spider-Man, a brand new and authentic adventure featuring everyone's favorite wall-crawling web-slinger. Unlike Days Gone, Sony had already
listed Marvel's Spider-Man for a 2018 release on PS4, so when it was noticably absent from the email, Insomniac Games community director James Stevenson quickly reassured fans it will release this year. He also told fans to "stay tuned" for news regarding a Collector's Edition or Steelbook Edition of the game.
Neither game has a firm release date so things could conceivably change, but it's nice to have a little reassurance for now.
