God of War is arguably one of the most anticipated PlayStation 4 exclusives of 2018. The game will be released in less than a month and it looks like Santa Monica Studio has already finished the development. The game's director and writer Cory Barlog has revealed the news on his Twitter account and nothing will stop Kratos from killing (or at least hurting really, really bad) the Norse gods.

God of War is gold, baby!” Barlog tweeted. “Thank you to every wonderful human who worked so hard to make this happen. Neither word nor emoji can express the love I have for you all. Next stop, April 20th!!!”. God of War 2018 was announced two years ago at Sony's E3 2016 conference and after four years of active development, Kratos will finally show everyone who's the real king of slashers.

From Santa Monica Studio and creative director Cory Barlog comes a new beginning for God of War. Living as a man outside the shadow of the gods, Kratos must adapt to unfamiliar lands, unexpected threats, and a second chance at being a father. Together with his son Atreus, the pair will venture into the brutal Norse wilds and fight to fulfill a deeply personal quest.

God of War launches on April 20th exclusively for PlayStation 4.
