We're almost under a month away from the release of Naughty Dog's The Last of Us Part II, and fans of the critically acclaimed series are probably already counting the days until the long-awaited sequel finally hits store shelves on the 19th of June; exclusively for the PlayStation 4.
It has almost become a tradition for Sony, and the studios affiliated with the PlayStation brand, to release behind the scenes videos that give players even more details about upcoming games — such has been the case with titles like Marvel's Spider-Man, God of War, and Days Gone, to name only but a few — and Naughty Dog's The Last of Us Part II has not been the exception.
Just last week, in fact, PlayStation shared a behind the scenes video for the upcoming game, which saw the developers at Naughty Dog giving us an in-depth look at the story in The Last of Us Part II; reassuring, considering that most fans have already been spoiled by the massive leak that was released a few weeks ago.
Today PlayStation has shared yet another video that reveals even more details about The Last of Us Part II, although this time the developers have focused entirely on gameplay — arguably the only redeeming aspect that matters to most fans who had the story spoiled for them — and how some of the decisions made by the characters within the game can affect players.
Have a look:
Five years after their dangerous journey across the post-pandemic United States, Ellie and Joel have settled down in Jackson, Wyoming. Living amongst a thriving community of survivors has allowed them peace and stability, despite the constant threat of the infected and other, more desperate survivors. When a violent event disrupts that peace, Ellie embarks on a relentless journey to carry out justice and find closure. As she hunts those responsible one by one, she is confronted with the devastating physical and emotional repercussions of her actions.
The Last of Us Part II is expected to release exclusively for the PlayStation 4 on the 19th of June.
