There is one thing that everyone can agree on when it comes to their opinion on Naughty Dog, regardless of how they feel about the company itself, and that is that they always give their games a level of realism that has seldom been paralleled.
Likewise — and regardless of how most people may feel about their games — the latest title, very in particular, doesn't look like it will be the exception. From a gameplay and graphical standpoint, The Last of Us Part II looks like one of the most graphically demanding games of this generation of consoles.
The PlayStation 3's The Last of Us was also a technical marvel that still looks great, and the developers at Naughty Dog have done everything within their reach to make The Last of Us Part II stand the test of time in the same way that its predecessor did.
Just yesterday, in fact, players got the chance to see 10 minutes of brand-new gameplay for The Last of Us Part II, and everything that was shown looked phenomenal; making it a proper Nauhgyt Dog title through and through, which is always a good thing from a technical standpoint.
Today, PlayStation has shared a new behind the scenes video for the game, which sees the developers at Naughty Dog revealing some very interesting details about The Last of Us Part II, and how they were able to make its world, and its characters to life in a way that they actually do feel alive.
Check it out:
Five years after their dangerous journey across the post-pandemic United States, Ellie and Joel have settled down in Jackson, Wyoming. Living amongst a thriving community of survivors has allowed them peace and stability, despite the constant threat of the infected and other, more desperate survivors. When a violent event disrupts that peace, Ellie embarks on a relentless journey to carry out justice and find closure. As she hunts those responsible one by one, she is confronted with the devastating physical and emotional repercussions of her actions.
The Last of Us Part II is expected to release exclusively for the PlayStation 4 on the 19th of June.
