Naughty Dog's highly-ancitipated sequel to, their 2013 critically-acclaimed masterpiece, The Last of Us may release at some point next year - if this recent leak is legitimate.
YouTube channel "PlayStation Music" recently uploaded a six videos of music relating to The Last of Us Part II - as it has for other PlayStation exclusive titles Marvel's Spider-Man and MLB The Show 2018. The description of each of these TLOU tracks seems to confirm that Part II will release in 2019.
Each description reads:
Music from The Last of Us Part II (2019) published by Sony Interactive Entertainment.
Album: The Last of Us Part II (Video Game Soundtrack) by Gustavo Santaolalla.
Playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list...
Though many are unsure whether the channel is legitimate. While PlayStation Music is a real application on the PlayStation 4 console, it doesn't bear the tick of authentication that other official channels have. However, it does link to the Spotify page for PlayStation Music, which does lend it some more credence.
So, as per usual, take it with a grain of salt as this wasn't an official announcement by Naughty Dog. What do you think of the supposed leak? Which of the tracks is your favourite? When do you think The Last of Us Part II will release?
The Last of Us Part II doesn't currently have a set release date.
