THE LAST OF US PART II Co-Writer Halley Gross Says The Upcoming Sequel Is "About 50% Bigger" Than The Original
We all know The Last of Us Part II is one of Naughty Dog's biggest endeavors, but now co-writer Halley Gross has opened up on just how large the upcoming sequel will be. Hit the jump for more information.
Between developers at Naughty Dog declaring The Last of Us Part II as their most ambitious game yet and a recent Best Buy listing, which seemingly suggested the game would span two disks, it's become very clear that the upcoming video game sequel will be a massive endeavor.
However, despite all of the bold statements and claims, it still remains rather difficult to determine just exactly how large Part II will be. Fortunately, co-writer Halley Gross recently took part in a video interview with GamerBraves, where she revealed a bit more details on the size and length of the upcoming Naughty Dog title.
"The game I think we’re saying is about 50% bigger, but it is massive, not just in length—but in like, all of our levels are bigger and wider," Gross explained. "We have more cinematics, we have more characters, we have more animations, we have larger melee systems. In every way, this game is bigger and better."
Once again, this is a striking boast from someone involved in the creation in The Last of Us Part II, a boast that will surely garner even more excitement from anxious fans. Sadly, with the game not set to launch until early next year those eager gamers are going to have to wait a bit longer to see if the title lives up to the hype.
The Last of Us Part II is currently scheduled to launch on February 21, 2019.
