What a last couple of weeks Naughty Dog has had. A leaker pretty much gave away the entirety of the plot for the soon-to-be-released The Last of Us Part II, ruining the game for fans of the critically acclaimed series — although many fans actually agree on the story ruining the game more than the leak itself.
Whether you are one of the players that got The Last of Us Part II ruined for them, or one of the very few that still don't know anything about the game's plot other than what the developers have shown in trailers, there's no doubt that the leak has affected Naughty Dog in a way that no one could've ever predicted.
The Last of Us Part II Director Neil Druckmann recently announced that the game had gone gold, but he also took the opportunity to reassure players that no matter what has been leaked, knowing the story and playing the game is a completely different story; encouraging fans to give the game a chance.
Today we may have some good news for those who are still excited to play The Last of Us Part II, since Naughty Dog has announced that a brand-new trailer for the game will be shared tomorrow at 7:00AM Pacific Time. Hopefully this will get players excited for the upcoming title — especially those who have lost all hope in both Naughty Dog and the sequel to the critically acclaimed The Last of Us.
Five years after their dangerous journey across the post-pandemic United States, Ellie and Joel have settled down in Jackson, Wyoming. Living amongst a thriving community of survivors has allowed them peace and stability, despite the constant threat of the infected and other, more desperate survivors. When a violent event disrupts that peace, Ellie embarks on a relentless journey to carry out justice and find closure. As she hunts those responsible one by one, she is confronted with the devastating physical and emotional repercussions of her actions.
The Last of Us Part II is expected to release exclusively for the PlayStation 4 on the 19th of June.
