Fans of the BioShock game series have been without wholly new content since 2013 when BioShock: Infinite released. But thankfully the six years of waiting is apparently about to come to an end - that is according to Michael Pachter, an industry analyst.

GamesIndustry recently collated to predictions of a bunch of top-tier analysts wherein Pachter states that he believes a new BioShock game will be announced this year for a release in 2020. Pachter also predicts a forthcoming announcement regarding a Rockstar game - also for 2020.

"I think we'll hear about a new BioShock game and a new title from Rockstar, both for 2020," Pachter told the site, before joking about the expected Borderlands sequel, "It would be cheating to say that the company will announce Borderlands, since it will probably happen before this article is published."

We'll just have to wait and see how accurate Pachter's predictions will be - though many of his predictions from last year did come to fruition (click here to check out his report card).

What do you think of Pachter's predictions? Would you like a new BioShock game to be announced?
