Don't Forget To Leave Your Last Message As DEMON'S SOULS Servers Shut Down Tomorrow

Sooner or later, this happens to every major game. Tomorrow, the servers of Demon's Souls will be officially shut down, so it's your last chance to say goodbye and leave your unique message for a lost soul...

Demon's Souls debuted in Europe on June 25, 2010 and is also known as the project that proved the Japanese school of making games is far from being dead. In the era of producing games aimed mostly to "casual" players, From Software's proposition was a breath of fresh air. The developer's risk paid off and every major studio tried to incorporate systems from the Souls series into their games.

To think that Sony was hesitant at first and didn't want to release Demon's Souls in the West might be funny from a perspective, but it's hard to not appreciate their risky decision. Everything has to come to an end sometime, and from tomorrow the online features from the game won't be available. Starting on February 28, the players won’t be able to summon others into the game and see their messages. Also, white and red player phantoms won’t be showing up in the game.

The forgotten world of Demon's Souls will be ever lonelier.
