SONIC THE HEDGEHOG Movie Will Be Scored By 300: RISE OF AN EMPIRE Composer Junkie XL

According to Film Music Magazine, Composer Tom "Junkie XL" Holkenborg (Mad Max: Fury Road, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice) will score Paramount Pictures' upcoming live-action Sonic The Hedgehog movie...

Tom "Junkie XL" Holkenborg will score Sonic the Hedgehog, the artist confirmed in a recent interview with Film Music Magazine. When it comes to crafting the score to a big budget film, Holkenborg is no newbie, as has been making a name for himself with film scores over the past six years, scoring major productions such as Mad Max: Fury Road, Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, and Divergent.

Considering that Tim Miller is producing the hybrid between live-action and CG, it's hardly surprising that Paramount Pictures has decided to hire Holkenborg, as he scored the Miller-directed Deadpool.

Sonic the Hedgehog is helmed by Jeff Fowler (Gopher Broke, Where the Wild Things Are), starring Ben Schwartz (Modern Family, DuckTales), James Marsden (Enchanted, X-Men: The Last Stand), Tika Sumpter (Ride Along, Think Like a Man), Neal McDonough (Captain America: The First Avenger, Band of Brothers), Adam Pally (Californication, Taking Woodstock), and Jim Carrey (Liar Liar, Bruce Almighty).

The live-action Sonic the Hedgehog movie will be released in US cinemas on November 8, 2019.
