According to Discussing Film, Showtime's highly anticipated Halo TV adaptation won't start shooting in June as initially planned, with the main production reportedly being pushed back to September 16th.
As a reminder, Halo was supposed to start filming last fall, with Steven Spielberg as an executive producer. While the dates have changed, one thing remains the same - the upcoming adaptation will still be filmed in Budapest, Hungary – as Netflix's The Witcher was recently shooting in the same city.
Given that the series has already found its Master Chief in Pablo Schreiber (American Gods, Orange Is the New Black), Showtime should reveal more details on the cast and overall plot in the coming weeks.
While it's unclear when the 9-episode series debuts, it is the biggest project in Showtime's history.
