Ever since 343 Industries took over the creation and development of new Halo games, the franchise erupted with new content and a very different type of story. With Halo 4 and Halo 5: Guardians, the new arc has been dubbed the "Reclaimer Saga." In this saga, Master Chief has encountered great victories and crushing defeats and propelled the franchise to new heights.
With the Xbox Series X/S release, Halo is returning with a new installment titled Halo Infinite and brings in a classic villain group known as The Banished (from Halo Wars 2). While the new gameplay footage left fans feeling like it had taken a step back in terms of graphics, the story looked engaging and fun nonetheless.
With the new game comes various obstacles that need to be overcome. With the game now delayed to 2021, the team at 343 Industries took to their official site to reassure players that this is to improve on the look and feel of the game and "...wants the game in your hands as soon as possible, but they also want to deliver something special… the Halo game you deserve..." according to studio head Bonnie Ross.
With the talk of delays and failed launches being the new normal in some AAA titles, could Halo Infinite have a similar fate? Probably not, but we would love to hear your thoughts on the news in the comments below!
