Back in July we posted a few of the unlockable characters for Gears of War 2 that would be carried over from the first Gears of War (see our Gears of War 2 Comic-Con Wrap-Up), including Minh Young Kim, RAAM and Anthony Carmine. Incidentally, for those that don't know and have heard the rumors, Carmine DOES indeed return for Gears of War 2. The catch? It's not Anthondy Carmine, it's his brother, Benjamin Carmine. Apparently military service us a long-running tradition in the Carmine family.
OK, back on topic! We now have the list of what we believe to be the full-list of unlockables, including multiplayer characters, for Gears of War 2.
As with the first Gears of War, it looks like running through the game once, on any difficulty, will unlock all of the characters/modes.
Insane Difficulty
Complete the game on any difficulty.
Character: Dizzy Wallin - Multiplayer
Complete Act 1 on any difficulty.
Character: Kantus - Multiplayer
A Locust monk. Complete Act 2 on any difficulty.
Character: Tai Kaliso - Multiplayer
Complete Act 3 on any difficulty.
Character: Flame Grenadier - Multiplayer
Complete Act 4 on any difficulty.
Character: Skorge - Multiplayer
Leader of Kantus Monks. Complete Act 3 on any difficulty.
Character: Anthony Carmine - Multiplayer
Complete any of the Act 1 Achievements from Gears of War 1.
Character: RAAM - Multiplayer
Locust Army Leader in GoW1. Unlock “A Dish Best Served Cold” achievement from Gears of War 1.
Character: Lt. Minh Young Kim - Multiplayer
Former Delta Squad Leader. Unlock "Time to Remember" achievement from Gears of War 1.
