Live-Action HALO Series Is Still In Development According To Microsoft
Despite the set back of no news since its announcement, Microsoft has released a statement that says they are still currently working on the Steven Spielberg live-action Halo series for Showtime.
Back in 2013 when the Xbox One was announced, the team at Microsoft and 343 Industries let it be known that they were working on a live-action Halo series with Steven Spielberg and Showtime. However, ever since the announcement, we have heard little to nothing on the project.
Ar12gaming decided to take matters in to their own hands, and reached out to Microsoft and 343 Industries to see if they could get an update. “Progress on the Halo Television Series continues,” a Microsoft Spokesperson and representative of 343 Industries confirmed to AR12Gaming. “We want to ensure we’re doing this the right way together with a team of creative partners (Steven Spielberg and Showtime) that can help us build the best Halo series that fans expect and deserve. We have no further details to share at this time,” Microsoft and 343 Industries said in a joint statement.
The Halo: The Master Chief Collection was released and contained a digital short that was not well received by fans. There is some speculation, that for this reason, Microsoft might be rethinking their approach to the series.
