Jurassic World Evolution was announced at last year's Gamescom. The developer recently let the press to check out the game's first hour, and we finally have another chance to see what
Evolution is all about. The gameplay gives hope that the makers of
Planet Coaster,
Elite: Dangerous, and the
RollerCoaster Tycoon series will deliver an excellent park builder that lives up to
Jurassic Park's legacy.
The game's cast is also excellent and it features not only Jeff Goldblum (
Jurassic Park, Thor: Ragnarok) who will return as Dr. Ian Malcom to guide you through the beautiful (and also pretty deadly) experience of building your very own lost world, as players will also hear the voices of Bradley Darryl Wong's Dr. Henry Wu and Bryce Dallas Howard's Claire Dearing who debuted in 2015’s
Jurassic World.
Ahead of
Jurassic World Evolution's imminent debut on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, be sure to check out IGN's first 20 minutes of the game which will help you to understand the gameplay mechanisms of
Evolution. The game will launch with over 30 dinosaurs (and the camera will track them up close at any time) allowing you to create and expand your own park empire. Take a look:
Jurassic World Evolution evolves players’ relationship with the Jurassic World film franchise, placing them in control of operations on the legendary island of Isla Nublar and the surrounding islands of the Muertes Archipelago. Players will build their own Jurassic World as they bioengineer new dinosaur breeds and construct attractions, containment and research facilities.
Jurassic World Evolution will be released digitally on June 12 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One, and physically on July 3 for PS4 and Xbox One.
