Earlier this week, Bungie announced that Destiny 2's next big DLC expansion is going to be officially revealed on June 9th. It seems this expansion will introduce a whole new planet to explore, or rather a moon — Europa.

However, before that can go down, there's a major in-game event scheduled. If you've been playing Destiny 2 as of late, or have been keeping up with the happenings, you'll know that The Almighty is on course for Earth. It's an enormous enemy spacecraft.

What's more, Rasputin is charged up and ready to take it down. Rasputin is a Warmind (basically a powerful artificial intelligence). It seems this in-game event is quite similar to those of Fortnite and, subsequently, could spell trouble for the sanctity of the Tower.

Bungie, or rather Season of the Worthy's creative lead Lars Bakken, has stated that players will want to be at the Tower at 10 AM PT to witness the event. It's sure to be a spectacle. Bungie has shared an ominous picture of the Almighty encroaching on the Last City. You can check that out below (via @DestinyTheGame):

Destiny 2 is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
