New Terminator/SCI-FI Killer Teased In Next DEAD BY DAYLIGHT Chapter New Terminator/SCI-FI Killer Teased In Next DEAD BY DAYLIGHT Chapter

Behaviour Interactive, the company behind Dead by Daylight, has teased a new killer that resembles the Terminator quite a bit. Like Behaviour always does with these teases, a complete reveal is shortly to come.

Dead by Daylight is a survival horror game where players take on the role of either a survivor trying to escape a killing ground or a merciless killer hunting down the survivors. The game is set in a dark, foggy and atmospheric environment where the killer stalks the survivors, using a variety of weapons such as chainsaws, axes, and hooks to capture and sacrifice them to the mysterious entity known only as The Entity.

As a survivor, players must work together to repair generators and escape through one of the two exit gates, all while avoiding the killer and trying to stay alive. The killer, on the other hand, must track down and sacrifice as many survivors as possible before time runs out. The game is brutal and intense, with each death of a survivor resulting in a graphic and gory animation.

The sound design in the game is also noteworthy, with the haunting soundtrack and realistic sound effects adding to the already tense atmosphere. From the blood-curdling screams of the survivors to the chilling sound of the killer's footsteps, Dead by Daylight immerses players in a world of terror and suspense.

They've released a number of new killers, but this new one has a bit of a familiar look to it. According to a quick teaser image posted on social media, this Killer will lean more toward science fiction than it does the supernatural, in contrast to many of the other Killers on the game's roster

The only thing we have is the teaser below, which only provides us with around 30 seconds of footage to mine for hints about what's to come. However, at the end of the teaser, Behaviour tells us that we'll discover more about Tools of Torment on February 15th, giving us the title of the upcoming Chapter.

The teaser definitely has a Terminator vibe about it. The intentions of whoever constructed the device the skull is wearing are revealed by schematics lying on a table, and the skull itself bears what resembles an eyepatch that unmistakably evokes the image of a Terminator's flaming red eyes.

Given that everything from The Texas Chain Saw Massacre to Nightmare on Elm Street is included in the game, Dead by Daylight is not unfamiliar with licensed killers. However, would this killer actually be a part of a Terminator Chapter?

It's unlikely to be an official Terminator crossover based on what is seen in the teaser trailer. In the teaser, the skull appears to be a real human skull rather than one made of metal, which contradicts what we've seen in the Terminator movies. The crimson glow emanating from the mouth is another instance when it comes near to fitting the description of a Terminator but falls short of being an exact match.

What then is in this Chapter if it isn't the Terminator? At the very least, a sci-fi-style Killer is planned, and what else is intended is shown by the most recent update to the game's roadmap.

This Chapter ought to usher in both the new Killer and the new Survivor that the roadmap predicts will appear in March. Don't bet on seeing a new map included in the DLC, though, as there is no mention of one.
