Call of Duty: Mobile released back on October 1st. Quickly, the mobile game has become one of the biggest of all time — only beat in terms of downloads by Pokémon GO. According to a new leak,
courtesy of the game's dedicated subreddit, Activision and Tencent have a Christmas surprise in store for
Call of Duty: Mobile's massive playerbase.
The Raid, Standoff, and Crash multiplayer maps will be subject to a Christmas-themed makeover — much in the same way that the latter map was in
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered. As well, it seems that the enormous Blackout battle royale map will be transformed into a winter wonderland. This all means that there will be a lot of snow and Christmas lights strung up.
The leaker was kind enough to include a couple of images with their claims. You can check those out below (via
Charlie INTEL). They provide us with our first look at Raid and Standoff with their festive redesigns. Based on the battle-royale image, there's a chance that the Christmas makeover will only cover a portion of the map.
Call of Duty®: Mobile is a new free-to-play game that brings together the maps, weapons and characters from across the Call of Duty® series in the definitive first-person action experience on mobile.
Call of Duty: Mobile is out now for iOS and Android devices.
