Nintendo's been part of the mobile gaming community since December of 2016, when
Super Mario Run was officially released; bringing Nintendo's intellectual properties to mobile devices for the first time ever.
Since
Super Mario Run's release, nintendo has been releasing a few more titles based on some of their most renowned franchises, like
Animal Crossing and
Fire Emblem, and has even introduced us to new intellectual properties like
Dragalia Lost.
The latest Nintendo property to be making its way into mobile devices is none other than
Dr. Mario, which is a tile-matching video game series in the same vein of the popular
Tetris series, in the form of
Dr. Mario World; expected to release for iOS and Android devices on the
10th of July.
While
Dr. Mario may be a title that has some similarities with
Tetris, these two are games that are quite different, and Nintendo has recently released a gameplay trailer that teaches us some of the gameplay mechanics that players should expect to see when
Dr. Mario World finally becomes available in a few more weeks.
Check it out:
Match capsules with viruses and watch them disappear! Simply match three objects of the same color vertically or horizontally to clear them. Take your time, because each puzzling configuration of viruses must be cleared using a limited number of capsules.
Dr. Mario World will be available for iOS and Android devices on the 10th of July.
