Mario Kart Tour was announced in 2017, but it wasn't until September of this year that the game was finally released; becoming a hit overnight, and even managing to become
Nintendo's fastest-ever game launch on mobile devices.
In spite of the overwhelmingly positive reception the game got on launch day, players couldn't help but notice that there were some characters missing from the roster — especially since one of them was prominently featured in the game's trailers: Mario's heroic younger brother Luigi.
Well, we have good news for those who were disappointed by Luigi's absence in
Mario Kart Tour, as Nintendo has announced a brand-new Halloween-themed tour that will finally see Mario's younger brother joining the game's roster; accompanied by Baby Luigi, Waluigi, and King Boo.
Luigi, Baby Luigi, Waluigi, and King Boo are characters that have been added permanently to the game, but Nintendo is also adding Rosalina(Halloween) as a limited-time character, as well as King Boo(
Luigi's Mansion), some tour-specific karts and gliders, courses, and three new courses: Luigi's Mansion, Ghost Valley, and Waluigi Pinball.
The
Mario Kart Tour Halloween-themed tour is become available today(22nd of October) and will be available until the 5th of November, so be sure to check it out and embrace the Halloween spirit.
Put the pedal to the metal in courses inspired by real-world locations as well as Mario Kart series favorites. Put powerful items to use as you tear up the track and go for a high score! A variety of drivers, karts, and gliders can be collected and upgraded! Find the combo that will lead you to victory!
