In February of this year, Sega announced Sonic at the Olympic Games - Tokyo 2020 for mobile devices — not to be confused with Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 — and that the game would become available for iOS and Android devices in May of this year.

Sonic at the Olympic Games - Tokyo 2020 will allow players to participate in over 15 challenging events that will put their skills to the test. What's more, the game can be easily played with one hand, as these events only require players to execute the commands with a tap of the finger.

Players can also compete against other players' high scores in the Global Rankings, although they will not be able to actually play with other players online or locally; still, players can also send challenges to their friends all over the world.

Today Sega has released a brand-new gameplay trailer for Sonic at the Olympic Games - Tokyo 2020,  introducing us to some powerful rivals like Metal Sonic, Sonic Lost World's main villain Zavok, Sonic Riders' Jet the Hawk, Rouge the Bat from Sonic Adventure 2, and many more!

Check it out:

Compete in a variety of Olympic events across a wide range of Stages! Experience the newest additions to the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020! Test your skills with challenging EX Stages and overcome them using Sonic and his friends!

Sonic at the Olympic Games - Tokyo 2020 is expected to become available for iOS and Android devices on the 7th of May.
