One of the exciting announcements to come out of the Pokemon 2019 press conference was the reveal of
Pokemon Masters, a brand-new mobile game that allows players to
"battle alongside your favorite Pokémon Trainers from the main series RPGs."
Developed by The Pokemon Company and DeNA, developers of
Super Mario Run and
Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp,
Pokemon Masters was inspired by a suggestion from Gamer Freak's Ken Sugimori who wanted to see all the Pokmeon Trainers from the video games in one title.
A brief description reads:
Pokémon Masters lets players experience a new type of Pokémon battling on the go, and it features many famous Pokémon Trainers from the long history of Pokémon video games.
Pokemon Masters is being developed by The Pokemon Company and DeNA, developers of other notable mobile games such as
Super Mario Run and
Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp.
The game will be released for iOS and Android devices in 2019 and is being developed to allow "anyone to casually pick it up and play." More details will be shared in June.
