It may seem like a blink of the eyes but Pokémon GO has already been around for seven years, officially celebrating the occasion with a whole mess of events during the month of July, the time it initially launched in 2016.
These new events and developments come right after the developer effectively doubled the spawn radius of the creatures you can catch, making everything in the month of July that much more exciting. Wasting no time, the GO Battle begins this weekend on July 1st, with an adventure week soon after from July 6th through 12th.
Despite the usual tradition of one Community Day a month, Pokémon GO will instead be holding three in July. While Community Day Classic will celebrate everyone's favorite member of the squad, Squirtle, on July 9th, with a Riolu Hatch day just around the corner on the 22nd, and, finally, a regular Community Day event on July 30th to end the month. The third event is one we will know more about soon.
Mega Raids are going to be exciting throughout the month as numerous new Mega Pokémon will finally be making their appearance in the mobile game. These include Mega Tyranitar, Mega Sableye, Mega Blaziken, and Mega Blastoise, only a couple of which have been seen previously. Five star Raids, meanwhile, will be switching up throughout the month starting with Heatran and switching to Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres from the 6th to the 13th, and Regieleki and Regidrago, two Pokémon that have previously been limited to Event Days, will finish off the month afterward.
What do you guys make of these development announcements for the month of July. Are you impressed by the sheer amount of adventure to be had or do you feel let down by the events?
We've included the official tweet along with a separate one which includes the newest trailer for the title. Regardless of your thoughts, leave them in the comments!
