One of the things that have helped the Pokemon GO mobile game stay so relevant and loved by fans has been its unending ability to create new and exciting events that appeal to all types of fans of the genre. This has included collaborations and holiday events, and also monthly community events.
An event that is about to get a heavy spotlight shone on it is Animation Week 2020! An event that showcases some of the most iconic Pokemon of the cartoon and has them popping up more frequently in the game. This year some of those Pokemon include Bulbasaur, Cuboine, Scyther, Exeggcute, Cyndaquil, and Dratini! Along with them, a shiny Cubone may even appear as well!
Raids will also have some new pokemon included, such as Lugia returning to five-star raids (which will until November 16th). Ivysaur, Pinsir, Snorlax, Golurk are some of the pokemon joining the raids as well! Fans can also expect brand new timed research tasks that have multiple episodes and even tie into the new Pokemon Journeys series.
The new series will play a large part in the event, including things like avatar items, World Cap Pikachu, and even the character of Goh appearing in some snapshots!
