Detective Pikachu is nearing the end of its run in theatres and so Warner Bros. Home Entertainment have announced when you'll be able to bring the film into your home (via
Screen Rant). Next month, the live-action
Pokemon film will release digitally on July 23rd. However, the Blu-ray and DVD versions of the film will release in August - specifically on the 6th. They're all available to pre-order now.
As well as the release date, Warner Bros. has also revealed the special features that the home release copies of the film will include. First off, there's an audio commentary by Mr. Mime, so that's sure to be interesting. The music video for Rita Ora and Kygo's original song "Carry On" will also be included. There is a feature which focuses on Ryan Reynolds as well as one called
"My Pokémon Adventure".
You'll have access to multiple behind-the-scenes featurettes, all udner the overarching title of
"Creating the World of Detective Pikachu". There are five in total and they're named as follows:
"Welcome to Ryme City," "Uncovering the Magic," "Action," "Colorful Characters," and "Bringing Pokémon to Life." There's also an available feature called "Detective Mode," which is currently unexplained.
