The live-action adaptation of Metal Gear Solid has been in development for quite a while now. The movie was initially announced in 2012, and in 2014 found its director in Jordan Vogt-Roberts — who has been helming the project ever since.
Unfortunately, fans of the series have not been update on the state of the Metal Gear Solid movie as often as they would've wanted. With that said, Vogt-Roberts has made sure to keep everyone posted as often as he possibly can; something that fans definitely appreciate.
In March of last year, in fact, Director Jordan Vogt-Roberts toyed with the idea of having Hollywood actor Oscar Isaac play the role of Solid Snake — revealing that the casting process still hadn't begun, but that he was more than willing to have him star as the iconic character.
The latest bit of information that Vogt-Roberts has shared about the movie reveals that there is actually nothing to reveal, but he still managed to get David Hayter, Paul Eiding, and Christopher Randolph — Snake, Colonel Campbell, and Otacon, respectively — to record a hilarious codec in classic Metal Gear Solid fashion.
Jordan Vogt-Roberts didn't only release this new codec, but he also shared a jaw-dropping piece of concept art from the Metal Gear Solid movie that makes us wish the film was already out in theatres — so be sure to check out both the codec and the new concept art down below!
