A brand-new Resident Evil live-action film was announced in 2018, and it was revealed to be a reboot for the series; meaning that it has absolutely no connection to the Resident Evil universe Paul W.S. Anderson created; a fresh new start that will take the series back to its roots.
Information about this upcoming movie is actually rather scarce, but we do know that Resident Evil is being helmed by English Director Johannes Roberts(47 Metres Down, Storage 24) and that it will be taking place during the events of the first and second games in the series.
As revealed last month, Resident Evil already has found its Chris Redfield(Robbie Amell), Jill Valentine(Jannah John-Kamen), Albert Wesker(Tom Hopper), Claire Redfield(Kaya Scodelario), Avan Jogia(Leon S.Kennedy), and Neal McDonough as Umbrella Corporation's lead researcher, creator of the G-Virus, and potential main villain for the film.
Now that the film is in production, pictures of the set have begun making their way online, and the latest batch of images for Resident Evil gives us a look at the S.T.A.R.S. helicopter in which Chris, Jill, and Wesker are sent to investigate what happened to the Bravo team.
This new batch of images also gives us a look at what seems to be an unfinished version of the set that will eventually become the iconic Spencer Mansion.
