2K Is Getting Ready To Announce The Return Of A Big Franchise That Will Launch By March 2019

Attention, attention! 2K Games is warming up to announce the return of one of publisher's biggest series. It's possible that we will have a chance to check out next Borderlands or Bioshock before March 2019!

The delay of Red Dead Redemption 2 overshadowed the rest of Take-Two's announcements during the annual shareholders meeting. According to the press release, the publisher has another major game that still hasn't been announced and there's plenty of reason to predict that Take-Two is going to announce the next installment of the Borderlands series pretty soon.

"Take-Two continues to expect to deliver both record Net Bookings and record net cash provided by operating activities, in excess of $2.5 billion and $700 million, respectively, during fiscal year 2019, led by the launches of Rockstar Games’ Red Dead Redemption 2 and a highly anticipated new title from one of 2K’s biggest franchises."

It would mean that this mysterious game would launch before March 31, 2019. The timing points strongly to the third main entry of Gearbox's Borderlands series. Randy Pitchford said that 90% of the studio is “working on the thing I think most of you guys want us to be working on". Of course, there's a chance that Pitchford meant the next Bioshock or Brother in Arms, but let's face it - "most of you guys" want Borderlands 3 and that's what you're going to get.
