Considering that
A Plague Tale: Innocence has already gone gold, it's safe to say that the upcoming Asobo Studio-created story-driven video game will indeed be released on May 14th, alongside
RAGE 2.
While we're still waiting for the first reviews for
Innocence, those who have played it seem to compare it to 2017's
Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice. As a reminder, that particular "triple-A indie" game has not only managed to win countless awards and sell millions of copies, but also encouraged other game development studios to try to tell more meaningful (even if short) stories in mid-budget titles.
Publisher Focus Home Interactive has released eight minutes of new uncut gameplay footage from
Innocence, putting the spotlight on the game's core mechanics and brutal universe – as you play as siblings Amicia and Hugo, a brave duo struggling through the heart of the ruthless world of 14th century France plagued by the Black Death – with unstoppable swarms of rats trying to kill them.
