Rare and Microsoft surprised fans of the long-neglected Battletoads series by announcing that a brand-new entry in the series was being developed for the Xbox One. This was announced in 2018 during E3, and no news about the project were share until E3 2019, when the developer gave us our first official look at the game.
The official reveal of Battletoads, however, didn't really resonate with players, especially long-time fans of the series who have been eagerly waiting for its revival. The new art style didn't really look as edgy as the Battletoads themselves, and overall tone of the game is supposed to be, but there were still some fans that were willing to give the game a chance.
Just last week, rumour had it that Rare would be soon releasing a brand-new trailer, and new information about the upcoming title, and wouldn't you know it the rumours were true, as Rare has just released a brand-new trailer that sees Rash, Zitz, and Pimple teaming up with the Dark Queen.
The trailer also reveals that Battletoads will be releasing on Xbox One, Xbox Game Pas, and PC(Windows 10, Steam) on Thursday the 20th of August. Xbox Game Pass members can download the game today so they can play it on launch day.
