Yesterday we were all surprised by Capcom announcing that the original
Devil May Cry, the first game in the company's critically acclaimed hack and slash series, was going to be releasing for the Nintendo Switch at some point
this summer.
Capcom didn't reveal too many details about the game, other than the game's tentative release window, so we didn't really have any idea of what the game would actually look like running on Nintendo's handheld hybrid console.
The Japanese developer has recently updated their
official Devil May Cry website, adding a bunch of high definition screenshots of the game running on the Nintendo Switch, which gives us a better idea of what the game will actually look like; keeping in mind that this isn't the
Devil May Cry HD Collection that released last year for other consoles.
Devil May Cry on the Switch, however, does seem to look almost exactly the same as it does on the HD Collection. It is also worth mentioning that the official website lists
Devil May Cry for the Switch as a digital-ponly purchase, with no plans to get a physical release — which is definitely a downside for players who like to purchase physical media.

Devil May Cry will be available for the Nintendo Switch in Summer of 2019.
