THQ Nordic is going all out ahead of the release of the Destroy All Humans! remake, releasing quite a handful of trailers and gameplay videos that give show off the game's enhanced graphics, while also making it very clear that the essence of the original title has been kept.

The original Destroy All Humans! was released in 2005 for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox, and the latest entry in the series was released in 2008 — which, by video game standards, is actualyl quite a long time. So much so, that the freanchise was assumed to be dead.

Developer Black Forest Games and THQ Nordic announcing that a remake of Destroy All Humans! was being released in current-gen consoles was one of the best news fans of the series could've gotten, especially since this could eventually lead to a fully fledged sequel.

Destroy All Humans! is not out for another two and a half weeks, so we will have to keep waiting a little bit longer for the game to finally become available. What is just around the corner, though, is the United States' Independence Day on the 4th of July, and THQ Nordic has released a trailer that sees Crypto wishing people of North America a Happy Dependence Day; all of this to the sound of Johann Strauss' iconic Radetzky Marsch.

Check it out:

The cult-classic returns! Terrorize the people of 1950s Earth in the role of the evil alien Crypto-137. Harvest DNA and bring down the US government in the remake of the legendary alien invasion action adventure. Annihilate puny humans using an assortment of alien weaponry and psychic abilities. Reduce their cities to rubble with your flying Saucer! One giant step on mankind!

Destroy All Humans! will release for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on Tuesday the 28th of July.
