We may have some disappointing news for fans of the Shantae series, as developer WayForward has recently announced that Shantae and the Seven Sirens — the latest entry in their 2D platformer series — has been delayed and will no longer be releasing this year.

Shantae and the Seven Sirens was announced in March of this year and, while the game never really got an official release date, it was expected to become available at some point this year.

The good news is that WayForward has revealed that the game will now be releasing in Spring of 2020, so fans of the Shantae series won't have to wait too long for it to release; promising that the wait will be worth it, and thanking fans for their support.

Again, while this may be disappointing news for fans, the silver lining is that WayForward always ends up delivering, and it is always good to know that developers are doing their best to deliver the best experience possible, and Shantae and the Seven Sirens will, more than likely, meet that standard.
