Dying Light 2 was announced during Microsoft's E3 2018 press conference. Once again, we’ll get to leap and fight through (and over) a zombie-infested city, run missions for people, and most importantly, survive. This time, everything in the game changes based on your decisions, so you'll need to choose wisely while trying to stay alive. For example, you can choose to free up a water control point to help a nearby city or team up with people you meet rather than killing them.
The zombie game is being developed by Techland, creators of the original
Dying Light and the
Call of Juarez series and Chris Avellone is working with the developer to design the narrative. Yes, the beloved writer responsible for
Fallout 2, Planescape: Torment, Alpha Protocol, and many, many more is helping the Polish studio to create “
genuine consequences” which will change the future of the city.
Set 15 years after the initial zombie outbreak,
Dying Light 2's post-apocalyptic setting moves into more fantastic direction which is a big departure from the vaguely Middle-Eastern setting of the first game. Although a lot of what's been discussed during the Xbox event is coming in 2019, there's no release info yet for
Dying Light 2, but you check out four new wonderful hi-res screenshots right now:
