LEGO STAR WARS: THE SKYWALKER SAGA Gets A New Trailer...And A Much Later Than Expected Release Date!

Gamescom kicked off with its "Opening Night" celebrations yesterday evening, and that included the world premiere of a new gameplay trailer for LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.

The game has been hit by multiple delays during the COVID-19 pandemic, leading to the excitement for the title being replaced by a growing sense of frustration. Thankfully, it doesn't look like this one is going to disappoint, and we now know that LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will be released Spring 2022.

"Adapting" all nine instalments of the iconic franchise, it was previously confirmed that there will be a total of 45 missions to embark on (along with twenty open-world environments).

There will be hundreds of vehicles and dozens of characters to take control of, and the footage revealed here is undeniably impressive. The LEGO video game franchise has definitely evolved if what we see here is any indication, and there's a lot of incredible footage in this new trailer.

Hopefully, it's going to be worth the wait, and when the game is released, it will be available to purchase on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and new consoles Xbox Series X and PS5.
