It's finally September, and that means that there are only a few more weeks left until fans of the Mafia series can finally get their hands on Mafia: Definitive Edition, which is expected to become available on Friday the 25th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC(Epic, Steam), and give players the ultimate Mafia experience.
Developer 2K Games announced the Mafia Trilogy in May of this year, and a week after the announcement they had already released Mafia II: Definitive Edition and Mafia III: Definitive Edition, which are remasters of the original titles.
Mafia: Definitive Edition, however, was expected to launch at a later date, and the reason is quite simple: it isn't a mere remaster of the original game released in 2002, but a fully fledged remake of the game that kickstarted the Mafia series — which is one of the reasons why the developers have taken some extra time with it.
2K Games has been sharing a handful of trailers for Mafia: Definitive Edition, which show off the game's beautiful new graphics, and now that we are a bit over three weeks away from the release that gives us a look at the game's 1930's midwest city of Lost Heaven.
Take a look:
Re-made from the ground up, Mafia: Definitive Edition offers a faithful remake of the original's acclaimed story with dramatically improved and expanded visuals and gameplay.
Mafia: Definitive Edition will release for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC(Epic, Steam) on Friday the 25th of September.
