MARVEL'S AVENGERS: Check Out This First Official Look At Main Villain M.O.D.O.K

MARVEL's Avengers is only a little bit over a short two weeks from finally hitting store shelves — finally becoming available on Friday the 4th of September, to be more precise — and giving players a taste of what is like to be one of the Earth's Mightiest Heroes, and what is like to face an Avengers-level threat.

Some players have already had the chance to try out the game for themselves, since the MARVEL's Avengers Beta has been made available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC players who have already pre-ordered their digital copy of the highly anticipated title.

The Beta, however, has made some people regret their decision to pre-order the game. While there isn't anything intrinsically wrong with MARVEL's Avengers itself, players have noticed that it isn't the kind of game that they thought it would actually be — although some are still excited to see if the story delivers.

MARVEL's Avengers has distanced itself from the Marvel Cinematic Universe by opting to go with a new threat, which was always revealed to be the A.I.M criminal orginasation, but things got a whole lot more interesting when it was revealed that they are the ones who inadvertently created the Inhumans.

Even more exciting is the fact that the ruthless M.O.D.O.K was revealed to be the game's main villain, although the developers shared little information about the character. In fact, we only got a glimpse of the villain, but didn't really get to see him in full.

Thanks to the people over at Comicbook, who got some exclusive images of MARVEL's Avengers, we now have our first official look at M.O.D.O.K, an image of George Tarleton before he turns into the viscious main villain, and concept art of Monica Rappaccini.

Take a look:

Marvel’s Avengers begins at A-Day, where Captain America, Iron Man, the Hulk, Black Widow, and Thor are unveiling a hi-tech Avengers Headquarters in San Francisco — including the reveal of their own helicarrier powered by an experimental energy source. The celebration turns deadly when a catastrophic accident results in massive devastation. Blamed for the tragedy, the Avengers disband. Five years later, with all Super Heroes outlawed and the world in peril, the only hope is to reassemble Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.

MARVEL's Avengers will be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia on Friday the 4th of September; PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X release date to be determined.
