Fans of the
Mega Man series have been disappointed in the past with the
Legacy Collection titles that Capcom has released. While there are some problems with some of the games' performance, what has really irked players is the fact that Capcom won't include all titles in one disc or cartridge.
Mega Man Legacy Collection and
Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 were released a couple of years apart, so those are somewhat excused; except for the fact that both were bundled for the Nintendo Switch, and only one of them was available in physical form, as the other game had to be downloaded via a voucher.
When
Mega Man X Legacy Collection released, Nintendo Switch owners also got only half of the titles on the cartridge and had to downlaod the remaining titles. In contrast, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One users got both discs in one box.
Today, Capcom has confirmed that this will not be the case with the recently announced
Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection, as all 6 games will be included in just the one cartridge or disc — which is something that fans of the series will definitely appreciate.
Six games, five heroes, and two series megamerge into one giant collection! Taking legendary Reploids into the far future, join Zero as he battles against the forces of Neo Arcadia, then witness the rise of a new generation looking to carve out their own story. Mega Man Zero / ZX Legacy Collection brings the intense action of Mega Man Zerothrough Mega Man Zero 4 as well as Mega Man ZX and Mega Man ZX Advent to modern platforms.
Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection will be available for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC on the 21st of January in 2020.
