In June of last year, Playful and Microsoft made the surprising announcement that Super Lucky's Tale was getting a remaster that was releasing exclusively for the Nintendo Switch. That's right, a game that had been previously exclusive to Microsoft platforms was now a Nintendo Switch exclusive.
New Super Lucky's Tale, as mentioned above, is a remaster that features some of the same levels, while also improving on gameplay, and even adding some extras to keep things fresh for players who may have already had the chance to play the original Super Lucky's Tale — or any of the previous games in the series, for that matter.
In May of this year, however, developer Playful and Microsoft announced that the game would no longer be a Nintendo Switch exclusive, as they officially revealed that New Super Lucky's Tale was currently in the works for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and that it was expected to release at some point this summer.
Today, Playful has shared a gameplay video that sees New Super Lucky's Tale running on the Xbox One X, revealing that PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X owners will be able to enjoy the game in 4K resolution and at 60 frames per second; making this the definitive way to play the upcoming title.
Unfortunately, Playful still hasn't revealed exactly when the game will finally release for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but we should expect more information rather sooner than later, considering that summer's already begun.
