Back in May of this year, during a special presentation hosted by Microsoft, Bandai Namco revealed a brand-new intellectual property in the form of Scarlet Nexus — which was initially revealed to be a Xbox One and Xbox Series X exclusive title, although we now know that this isn't the case.

Scarlet Nexus is actually a new action-adventure game that is currently being developed for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC, but the developers have yet to give us an official release date for the game.

Trailers for the game have done a pretty decent job giving players a good idea of what Scarlet Nexus will look and play like, and its art style is also one of the caught people's attention, as it gives the game a very anime-esque look that has managed to get fans of Japanese animation excited.

While Bandai Namco has been releasing a bunch of trailers in the past, today's trailer is probably the one that has shown off the most gameplay — giving us a look at some of the visually striking powers that players will be able to pull off once the game finally becomes available.

Hopefully the developers will soon reveal the game's official release date. As of yet, Scarlet Nexus really looks like a promising new title, and it would be great to see more of it, and learn more details about the story, its characters, and, of course, gameplay.

Take a look:

In a far distant future, a psionic hormone was discovered in the human brain, granting people extra-sensory powers and changing the world as we know it. Just as humanity was entering this new era, deranged mutants known as Others began to descend from the sky with a thirst for human brains. Highly resistant to conventional attack methods, extreme measures needed to be taken to battle the overwhelming threat and preserve humanity.

Scarlet Nexus still doesn't have an official release date, but is expected to launch for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
