Rebellion Developments has been supporting the Nintendo Switch by releasing a bunch of titles since the console launched in 2017, most notably the critically acclaimed Sniper Elite series, and even the Zombie Army spin-off series.
In 2019, in fact, Rebellion released Sniper Elite V2 Remastered, and later that year they also released Sniper Elite 3 Ultimate Edition, giving Nintendo Switch owners the chance to play these phenomenal third-person shooter titles on the go.
Nintnedo Switch owners will be happy to know that Rebellion Developments isn't done porting the Sniper Elite series to the popular handheld hybrid system, as they have just announced that Sniper Elite 4 is also being developed, and is expected to launch this year.
The original Sniper Elite 4 was actually released in February of 2017 on other platforms, so the developers did take their sweet time to port the game to Nintendo Switch. Judging by the gameplay trailer Rebellion released today for the upcoming title, it is fair to say they've done a great job with this port.
The developer doesn't go into details about the release date for Sniper Elite 4, but they do reassure that it will be at some point this Holiday, and we can't wait to know more information about it.
