SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated is almost here, as Purple Lamp and THQ Nordic's take on the classic title will finally become available for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC(Steam) next Tuesday the 23rd of June.
With some beautiful current-gen graphics and the same charm most players remember, SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated isn't just a prettier version of the original, since it will also be adding a fun multiplayer mode, and even some content that was cut from the 2003 game.
The people over at THQ Nordic and Purple Lamp have done a great job keeping players interested and excited for the release of SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated, releasing gameplay trailers and even showing off the game's breathtaking new graphics with videos that give players a look at some of the classic areas that have been gracefully remastered.
Today — and thanks to the people over at IGN, who are joined by THQ Nordic Producer Martin Kreuch — we finally get to see a solid 10 minutes of gameplay from one of the earlier areas in SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated.
Kreuch reveals that the new content that was added in SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated comes from unused concept art and even unfinished levels that were accesible in the original game if you were to hack it. This and many more interesting bits of information are shared in the video down below.
