Star Wars: Squadrons has been available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC(Epic, Steam) for a bit over a week now, and the reception the game has had has been actually quite positive amongst critics; currently with a very respectable 81/100 on Metacritic.

Fans are also, seemingly, enjoying the game, although the User Score on Metacritic is actually a rather disappointing 5.5/10. With that said, most of the complaints players have against Star Wars: Squadrons come from issues that can be easily fixed by the developers at Motive Studios.

Regardless of complaints, there is genuine interest for the recently released title, and this is actually been confirmed by Electronic Arts, who shared some player stats that reveal some of the milestones that have been reached since the game launched.

Accordign to Electronic Arts' collected data, players have livestreamed an overwhelmingly impressive 88,900,000 minutes of Star Wars: Squadrons. To get a btter idea of what this means, players have watched 1,481,666 hours, which equates to 61,736 days, or a staggering 169 years; combined average, of course.

What's actually more interesting, is the fact that only 15% of players have played the game in VR. Quite surprising, as one of the aspects that gets the most praise is Star Wars: Squadrons' VR mode, which allows players to play through the whole game(including multiplayer) in VR — which has also been praised for being ridiculously immersive.

On the other side, as it is quite unsurprising, the starfighters that players have made their vehicle of choice are the X-Wing(New Republic) and the Tie Interceptor (Imperial). On this same note, Electronic Arts that players have already destroyed a total of 599,481,422 starfightersin one week since the game launched. Impressive. Most impressive.

Buckle up, take full control of starfighters such as the X-wing and TIE fighter, and feel the adrenaline of strategic first-person 5v5 multiplayer dogfights alongside your squadron. In a fateful campaign set near the conclusion of the Galactic Civil War, learn what it means to be a pilot in a thrilling STAR WARS™ single-player story. The New Republic fights for freedom. The Empire demands order. We need you to join the galaxy’s finest.

Star Wars: Squadrons is currently available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC(Epic, Steam).
