In June of last year THQ Nordic announced that they were working on a remake of the fan-favourite SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom, and that the game was launching for pretty much every current-gen platform; great news for those who got the chance to play the original.
While the developer didn't give us an official launch date for SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated, the announcement trailer was more than enough to make players excited for the release, and now that we've seen the game in action the hype is almost off the charts.
Just last month, in fact, THQ Nordic finally revealed that SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated is launching on the 23rd of June for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC(Steam), and that pre-orders for the game had already become available.
SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated is looking great, and THQ Nordic wants players to know that this isn't only a prettier version of the original, but that it is also a faithful remake of it, and today they have shared a new gameplay trailer that focuses on on the game's gicantic bosses; now looking better than ever.
