From Software, the renowned creators of the
Armored Core, Dark Souls, and
Bloodborne series, will finally return on March 22nd with S
ekiro: Shadows Die Twice. In their brand new
Souls-like video game, you will play as the titular hard-hearted warrior who's on the mission to rescue his kidnapped master and exact revenge on his arch nemesis using his battle-hardened katana and useful prosthetic arm.
Publisher Activision has released 10 never-before-seen
Shadows Die Twice screenshots, putting the spotlight on the strikingly beautiful world of late 1500s Sengoku Japan, formidable enemies you'll encounter during your own playthrough, and the Hirata Estates, a special in-game area accessed by a magical bell that will showcase Sekiro's relationship with a character known as the "
young lord."
Considering that this story-driven title is being helmed by Hidetaka Miyazaki, the director of
Dark Souls III and
Bloodborne, you can expect another dark and twisted experience akin to the Japanese studio's recent games. Be sure to take a closer look at the world of
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice down below:
In Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice you are the “one-armed wolf”, a disgraced and disfigured warrior rescued from the brink of death. Bound to protect a young lord who is the descendant of an ancient bloodline, you become the target of many vicious enemies, including the dangerous Ashina clan. When the young lord is captured, nothing will stop you on a perilous quest to regain your honor, not even death itself.
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice will launch on March 22, 2019 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
