Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition has probably become one of the most-anticipated Nintendo exclusive titles of the year, and this is actually a game that has already been re-released once for the Nintendo 3DS. Still, fans are extremely excited because it is, as the name says, the definitive edition of the critically acclaimed Wii title.
The game has been almost completely remastered in terms of graphics, and even soundtrack, giving players more reasons to get excited over this remaster. It doesn't take much to lure in newcomers to the series, especially since the trailers have shown off the game's beautifully realised open world; which evokes a sense of wonder.
Developer MonolithSoft has always managed to give their games a sense of scale that makes their games even more immersive than we, as players, have the right to experience, and the Xenoblade Chronicles series really does capture that entirely.
Just recently, the developer has released quite a handful of high-definition in-game screenshots for Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition — which give us a good look at some of the game's breathtaking environments, some character concept arts, and other scenes from the upcoming title; making us wish the game would release already.
Take a look:
MONOLITHSOFT’s epic Xenoblade Chronicles game, which originally launched in 2012 on the Wii system, is destined to be reborn on Nintendo Switch as Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition. The game, which chronicles the adventures of Shulk and Fiora, is scheduled to launch for Nintendo Switch in 2020.
Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition will release exclusively for the Nintendo Switch on the 29th of May.
