Eclipse Glow Games premiered a new trailer for Tides of Annihilation during Gamescom Opening Night Live in Cologne. Titled "Beneath the Veil," the cinematic gameplay trailer focuses on the emotional core of the story and introduces key supporting characters from Arthurian legend.
The trailer opens in the aftermath of London’s destruction. A distraught Gwendolyn confronts the reality of her situation before the legendary Guinevere urges her to embrace the power of the Fog, a force previously wielded only by King Arthur. Accepting her role, Gwendolyn takes up the sword and begins fighting alongside spectral Knights of the Round Table. The trailer also marks the first appearance of Sir Lancelot as a summoned ally who joins combat in dramatic fashion. Check out the trailer down below:
Angela Sant’Albano has been announced as the new voice of Gwendolyn. "I am beyond thrilled and deeply honored to officially announce that I’m stepping into the role of Gwendolyn in Tides of Annihilation," Sant’Albano said. "Gwen is the kind of heroine I love. She carries self-doubt, constantly questioning whether she’s enough, but she refuses to let fear make her stand still. Everything she does is driven by love for her sister and her homeland, and I think that’s what makes her strength feel so human. Getting to step into her boots, facing otherworldly demigods, and commanding Knights of the Round Table has been an absolute privilege."
Tides of Annihilation is set after a catastrophic "Outworld Invasion" leaves London in ruins. Gwendolyn sets out to save her sister and travels between the fog-shrouded modern city and the mythical realm of Avalon. Along the way she must understand the source of her newly inherited power and decide the fate of both worlds. The narrative blends contemporary destruction with Arthurian myth, placing familiar legendary figures in a supernatural conflict that threatens reality itself.
As part of its push toward a full global launch, the game has added support for Brazilian Portuguese. Tides of Annihilation now includes 11 languages: English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, Russian, and Brazilian Portuguese.
A playable demo is available on the Gamescom show floor at Hall 6, Booth B-050. Demo stations are equipped with GeForce RTX 5080 GPUs, TCL displays, and hardware support from Razer, PlayStation, and Xbox. Attendees will be among the first to experience the game with NVIDIA DLSS 4.5 Dynamic Multi Frame Generation.
Tides of Annihilation continues to position itself as a single-player action-adventure that mixes high-stakes combat, mythic storytelling, and dual-world exploration. The new trailer and voice casting announcement give a clearer sense of the tone and emotional focus the studio is aiming for as development progresses toward launch.
