WB Games Montréal announced today that their highly-anticipated Bat Family video game, Gotham Knights, will finally arrive in stores on October 25, 2022.
For the first time ever, gamers won't play as Batman, but will instead play as one of his protégés - Batgirl, Robin, Nightwing, or Red Hood - and be tasked with finding the truth behind their mentor's sudden demise while also simultaneously protecting Gotham from the Court of Owls and other yet-to-be-revealed threats.
While it was originally expected to arrive in 2021, it was delayed at the top of last year to allow developers “more time to deliver the best possible experience for players,” and it sounds like the extra year gave them all the time they needed to get the game ready to release this fall.
The action RPG, which will have both single-player and multiplayer modes, is set to launch on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Microsoft Windows platforms.
